Home Sweet Home!

We are home, unpacked and the laundry is done, Yeah! It is nice to travel, but I like sleeping in my own bed. Meagan was so happy to be in her own bed that she slept 12 1/2 hours sunday night. We got home Sunday about 4:30, and while Meagan took a nap I ran to the store to get milk and dinner. Monday was spent unpacking, doing laundry and going to the store for the week. This morning we went to story time at the library. Now I am getting the house staightened up before my sister and the kids get here on Wed.

A Trip to Oregon

On Friday the 14th, Meagan, mommy & daddy flew to Portland, Oregan to visit with Meagan's big brother Rob, and his family. Meagan spent the first 2 days with big sister Bradi, playing with her niece, Nichole-5 and nephew Robert Zachary - 3, while mommy & daddy where in meetings. The kids had a great time playing together and Meagan warmed up to the adults very quickly. Sunday night we moved into the hotel we called home for the week. Meagan adjusted to the time change by the second day and has been sleeping very well. She let us sleep until 8:00 several days.
On Monday we relaxed and spent time with the family and then had dinner with friends in Vancouver, WA. On Tuesday daddy & Meagan swam in the pool and on Wednesday we took the children to the zoo. It was Meagan's 1st trip to the zoo and she loved seeing all the animals. Nichole wanted to see the giraffes, Robert liked the tigers and Meagan thought the sea otters where pretty cool.
On Thursday Bob & I took the kids to the park & lunch in the morning then Bob & Rob went fishing in the evening. So far the weather has been good, but it is supposed to be 104 on Friday & 100 on Saturday. We will have to find some cool indoor activities for those days.

Camping With Mommy & Daddy

July 7-9, Meagan went on her first camping trip at Rocky Gap State Park. After a rough start, (she got sick about 1/2 way there) we all had a great time. The weather was perfect during the day, but a little to cold at night. Meagan had her very own air mattress/sleeping bag which she thought was cool, but also liked sleeping with mommy and daddy. She played at the play ground, went for a canoe ride, swam in the lake and went on a hike. Meagan also enjoyed helping daddy set up the wood for the camp fire and collecting rocks. We are all looking forward to our next camping trip in August.

Meagan at 18 Months

Meagan was 18 months old on June 30th and went to the doctor yesterday. The doctor was very surprised, Meagan gained 4 1/2 lb and grew 2". She now weighs 24.5 lb and is 32 1/2" tall. At our last visit the doctor was concerned about her weight because she had gone down to 10%, but now she is back up to 50%. Yeah!! Meagan loves to play with her dolls, play in her sandbox and go swimming. She also loves to climb, the higher the better. She put 3 words together for the first time this week, "big blue truck". She thinks all trucks are blue and if I tell her it isn't blue then it must be white. She is talking more and more every day and thinks that she should get everything she asks for. When that doesn't happen her temper goes into full gear. Thankfully she calms down pretty quickly. This weekend she is going on her first camping trip. We will let you know how she liked it in next weeks update.

Happy Independence Day!

Happy 4th everyone. Meagan had a great 4th of July weekend and so did we. We started celebrating on Saturday with a trip to the pool. Meagan had fun in the big pool & then when we moved to the little pool she had some trouble walking. A few steps forward and she went head first into the water. Daddy pulled her back up and she didn't seem too upset about it.
On Sunday we went to church and then after Meagan's nap we drove out to Berryville for a perty with friends. Daddy & Meagan went swimming again and Meagan went down to slide with Tommy. She went under but didn't mind. She enjoyed playing with the other children and thought the fireworks were great! She stayed awake until 10:30 and then crashed in our arms.
Monday was a quiet day. Mommy & Daddy had date night and Erin watched Meagan. They went for a walk and played in the back yard.
Tuesday we got Meagan a new sandbox/picnic table & Bob set up the canopy on the deck. Erin & Rachel came over to play with Meagan and then we had dinner. Meagan loves corn on the cob & was very excited when mommy gave her a little ear of her own to "bite, bite". Meagan went to bed about 8:30 and Mommy & Daddy watched the fireworks from the corner.
