Nine Months Old and Counting

At nine months Mikaela is starting to crawl. Not a normal crawl but on her belly and pulling with her arms. It's amazing how strong she is. She also has a new word "dada" which she says all day long. Meagan wants to know when she is going to learn a new word like maybe her name.

Bird Watching

Meagan is really enjoying observing the birds in our back yard this year. Every time she sees a new bird I take a picture and we try to figure out what type of bird it is. This is her favorite bird. He and his mate have spent a good amount of time at our bird feeder.

The first day of 1st grade

Meagan started first grade this fall. We are still home schooling and enjoying it very much. Most of our school work is done during Mikaela's morning nap and we finish up in the afternoon if necessary. We still go to a weekly coop where Meagan is in class with 7 other girls her age. My time is spent between helping in her class and in the nursery with Mikaela. Meagan's favorite subjects so far this year are History and Science.
