Meagan at Kindertots

Since September last year Meagan has been going to Kindertots with Miss Nicole. The kids are introduced to dance & tumbling and following directions. Meagan loves her class and has learned a lot. She can jump now and is doing well with following directions. Meagan's favorite activities are itsy bitsy spider, using a spider and the hokey pokey, using pom pons.

Ice Skating

The last Sunday of the season our church rents the ice rink at Reston Town Center. Young & Old come out for skating, fellowship and refreshments and fun is had by all. This year Meagan and her friend Emma where big enough to wear skates. The rink has large buckets the kids can hold onto and go around. Meagan tried this but she wasn't strong enough to push it without falling. Sitting on top of the bucket while Daddy pushed was fun and she tried skating with 2 people holding her hands but her skates kept coming loose. After several trips around the rink and a sore back for Daddy they stopped for snacks and to warm up. Mommy enjoyed watching everyone skate and her roll as Meagan's offical photographer.

A Day with Annie

| View Show | Create Your Own
Two months before Meagan was born I bought a 3ft Raggedy Ann at a flea market on the Oregon coast. The floppy rag doll came home in my suit case and has been sitting in Meagan's room since then. On Feb. 27th Meagan woke up and desided Annie was her friend for the day. Annie had to go potty with us and was given her very own pair of princess panties. Then it was down stairs for milkies and Mickey Mouse Club House. Annie sat across from Meagan and had "water-juice please mommy, for Annie". Meagan wanted Annie to have yogurt like her for breakfast, but we desided dry cheerios in a bowl might be a better idea. Annie took several trips to the potty and stayed dry all day. Meagan on the other hand, not so dry. We still have a ways to go with the potty training. At lunch Meagan & Annie both had crackers, cheese, red & white dip and grapes then it was off to bed for nap time. Annie had a very busy day.

Snow,Snow and More Snow!

Sunday, February 25th brought more snow about 4" this time. Maybe if I take the snow flakes off the back door it will stop snowing (wishful thinking on my part). Since daddy was home, he and Meagan headed outside to play and shovel. I have to admit everything looks beautifull all covered in snow. Daddy got help with the shoveling and then we went for a walk and built a snow man. By the next day most of the snow had melted and our snowman was gone.

A Valentine's Party with Friends

The snow that arrived on Valentine's day turned to a solid block of ice by the next day and we almost missed the party at play group. Thanks to some very helpful neighbors I was able to get the van out and off we went. There were cupcakes with hearts on top at the party and Meagan popped the heart right into her mouth. Much to her surprise they were not the sweet tart type she had been eating all week, but the chalky ones. She spit it back out " I not likes these hearts mommy". She had lots of fun playing with her friends and looked very cute in her Valentine outfit & piggy tails (that is when her skirt wasn't falling off because it was too big).

Happy Valentine's Day!

After making cookies, Meagan helped Mommy wrap Daddy's present and decorated his card. We got daddy a tiger that talks and moves it's tail. I thought she would like it too, but she was afraid it it. Meagan got paints, PJ's for her snap-on doll and new princess panties for Valentine's Day.

Valentine's day also brought more snow (6"-8"). We are getting a lot of use out of Meagan's snow suit & boots this year.

Making Valentine Cookies

Mommy & Meagan made cookies for Valentine's Day - hearts and chocolate chip. Meagan liked putting the cookies on the tray and watching them cook, but taste testing was her favorite step in the process. She had "tasted" 2 cookies when I saw her climbing up on her stool and getting another one "look mommy, I get another cookie". She was very proud of herself.

Curlers in Your Hair, Oh MY!

Meagan is all girl with some tomboy on the side. She loves pretty dresses, pretty shoes & tights. She has a definite opinion of what she wants to wear (and what she doesn't). She also likes to play with her vanity - curlers, perfume, lip stick. This day she tried on ear rings for the first time and fell in love. They are now her favorite assessory.

Delicious Icicles

After our snow on Feb 7th Meagan wanted to play in the back yard. I showed her how to make snow angels and we tried to make snow balls, but the snow was too dry. Meagan loves her climber so I wipped it off so she could climb up and slide down. To our surprise there were icicles hanging from the roof on the back side. Meagan thought they were very pretty. I showed her how to pull them off and she desided they taste good too (but a little cold).
